The Immunization Partnership values the time individuals contribute to our cause. Our volunteers work on rewarding initiatives including developing and distributing immunization information to physician offices, the public and the media. You can also work on a team to advocate for immunization registry use and support smart immunization choices.
Most of our volunteers start by serving on committees. This is typically the best way to become acquainted with our motivated team and understand our commitment.
Our committees include:
- Executive Committee - board members who monitor the course of the organization.
- Education - local experts providing learning opportunities for parents, physicians, allied health professionals and community groups.
- Marketing - managers of communications with immunization partners including physicians, media, and community organizations.
- Fund Development - our connection to the generosity of Houston and Texas.
- Advocacy and Public Policy - our voice in local, state and national government.
- Finance - our resource stewards.
- Legal - advisors on policy and organization bylaws.
- Registry Operations - supporting the use and management of the Houston-Harris County Immunization Registry.
Board positions are extended to those with an expressed interest and demonstrated commitment to our cause. Our board members are required to participate actively in meetings, events, recruit volunteers, and solicit in-kind and monetary contributions.
