Nidhi M. Nakra, MPH
Director of Education and Advocacy
For the past ten years, Nidhi Nakra has been working in the private and public health field, with diverse experiences in the international, national, state, and county arenas of Immunization and Maternal and Child Health. She currently oversees the Austin office for The Immunization Partnership, as the Director of Education and Advocacy. Prior to her current position, she served as a Public Health Advisor for the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and was based at the Los Angeles County Immunization Program. There, she was a member of the Senior Management team and directed the Advocacy, Evaluation, and Promotion Unit. Prior to her CDC post, Nidhi managed the County’s African American and Latino interventions. During her time in Los Angeles, Nidhi also served as a technical advisor for the World Health Organization in the Solomon Islands, where she supervised their successful 2006 measles campaign. Nidhi began her career as a health services consultant for integrated healthcare delivery systems, managed care companies, and non-profit organizations. Nidhi and her husband live in Austin. They have a 2-year old daughter, Amiya.
