The Immunization Partnerhip along with the Williams and Schanbaum families hosted a press conference on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 held at HCC Coleman College announcing the new meningitis law. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of many, a new meningitis bill has been passed requiring all first-time college students (under the age of 30) to show proof of receiving the Meningitis vaccine whether living on or off campus. The new law is effective immediately, but will apply to all students entering college effective January 1, 2012.
